This year marks the 65th anniversary of the Junior League of Greenwich. With a membership of over 500 dedicated women, the JLG has been instrumental in creating lasting change in Greenwich.
Some of its past projects include building the Boundless Playground at Bruce Park, helping to establish The Greenwich Pool in Byram Park, and developing vital programs such as Kids in Crisis and the Den for Grieving Kids.
New members begin their journey with an 8-hour in-person training course at the JLG headquarters.
This year, the JLG is excited to introduce a new daytime training option, spread over two days, in addition to its traditional evening course.
"We recognized that we were missing a large population of incredible women, like stay-at-home moms, who are available during the day but unable to attend evening classes," said Stacey Higdon, President of the Junior League of Greenwich. "By adding this daytime option, we’re opening the door for more women to get involved and make a difference in our community."
Once training is complete, new members can immediately dive into one of the many impactful projects or programs the JLG offers. The organization also provides invaluable leadership development, professional growth, and social opportunities, fostering a vibrant community that encourages both personal and collective success.
"If you’re passionate about making a difference and want to be part of a supportive and inspiring network of women, we encourage you to attend one of our Open Houses," the JLG said in a release.
