Around 2:45am on Saturday, August 24, a stolen Cadillac sedan from Stratford entered Greenwich.
Police said multiple units were alerted of a license plate reader hit on the stolen car as it was traveling west on East Putnam Ave, passing exit 5.
Patrol officers spotted the vehicle at the Sheephill Mobile Station and attempted to apprehend the suspects, but the driver engaged police in pursuit.
After the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed, Greenwich Police officers successfully disabled the vehicle using a "spike strip" to deflate its tires. The vehicle stopped by Church Street and all suspects fled in different directions.
From there the suspects then initiated a foot pursuit, but after about 20 minutes the suspects were apprehended.
The suspects were identified as Anthony Palacios, 20, from Waterbury, along with two juveniles – one from Stamford, 17, and one from Bridgeport, 16.
Palacios was charged with Engaging Police in Pursuit, Conspiracy to Commit Larceny of Motor Vehicle, Larceny of Motor Vehicle, Forgery 3 and Interfering with an Officer/Resisting.
Palacios remains in custody after being unable to post his $20,000 bond.
He is due in Stamford Superior Court on Sept 6, 2024.
The juveniles were issued misdemeanor summonses with court dates.
