The Glenville Volunteer Fire Company (GVFC) will mark the tenth anniversary of presenting the
David N. Theis Award for Outstanding Service to the Community by honoring William H. “Bill” Nickerson for his history of service to the town of Greenwich.
Bill’s nearly forty years of service to Greenwich started in 1969 as a member of the RTM,, and continued with his election as both a state representative and state senator. His dedication exemplifies the spirit of Dave Theis, and the Glenville Volunteer Firefighters are excited to recognize his hard work on behalf of our town and honor Bill with this year’s award.
The award ceremony will be held on Thursday, Oct. 17, at Tamarack Country Club, beginning with a cocktail reception at 6:00pm.
Invitations are being sent to previous attendees, but anyone wishing to attend or wishing to contribute goods or services for our silent auction are encouraged to contact the GVFC by emailing rsvp@glenvillefire.org or calling (203) 532-9606.
The annual award celebrates Dave Theis’s spirit of leadership by example, and recognizes selfless service to the town’s people and organizations.
